Hey! My name is Joshua Brown (which you probably know), and I am a pastor, Bible scholar, thinker, husband, dad, and curious one. Over the last few years, I have been on a journey to rediscover the proper, orthodox, and authentic gospel. I found that we, in the West, have strayed far from where we started with a God-man named Jesus.
Therefore, I created this space to have open and honest conversations about topics not usually welcomed in church settings. We are in an age of deconstruction, which is a good thing. Deconstruction is simply another way of saying curious.
I wouldn’t say I like the term deconstruction, however. If you have mold in a wall in your house, you don’t tear down the entire house and “deconstruct” it; you tear out that wall, fix the mold problem, and the place is stronger for it. Many are lumped into the deconstruction category that have only found mold in the wall of their spiritual house and are attempting to fix it.
The Church responds, blatantly or through silence, by encouraging us to live with the mold and ignore it. But that’s not good enough for someone who is having allergic reactions. It must be fixed. While I will not promise to answer all your questions the way you need, I promise to use this platform to give you direction and help you see there might be another way.
