Have you ever seen the movie Home Alone? It is one of my favorite Christmas movies. At the beginning of the movie, Kevin McAllister is told by his older brother that the old man next door is a murderer who kills children and places them in his salt barrel. Therefore, Kevin is terrified of this old man the entire movie. That is until he talks to the man at church and discovers his brother lied to him—this man is good, not a murderer. By the movie's end, (*spoiler alert*) the old man saves Kevin’s life from the real bad guys. Kevin spent an entire film afraid of someone who would save his life because his older brother, whom he trusted, knew the truth about things and told Kevin a lie.
